Reader Photo: Peace and inspiration at Pismo Beach

Share

Take it in – this setting, this moment, the picture by Jahi McCall. It is, in a word, alluring.

McCall from Los Angeles took a road trip to Pismo Beach last month with the intention of taking photos of the sunset. Then adventure and a suggestion from a local bartender led him to the dunes. “When I got to the dunes I was blown away and must have taken a hundred photos,” he said.

The tiny figure of the woman is nearly lost in the endless mass of sand, and golden tones of the landscape are inspiring.

McCall got into photography a little over a year ago motivated by photographs that evoke emotions. He made this stunning photo using his Canon 5D Mark II with a 17-40 lens and certainly created a exquisite moment.
