Ray Nagin, former New Orleans mayor, sentenced to 10 years in prison
Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was sentenced Wednesday morning to 10 years in federal prison for public corruption.
Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday morning, according to the Associated Press.
Nagin, who was mayor when Hurricane Katrina struck the city, was convicted on 20 charges of bribery, money laundering and fraud in February. Judge Helen Ginger Berrigan delivered the sentence.
