HOUSTON--A third person injured in last week’s South by Southwest crash has died.

Sandy Thuy Le, 26, had been treated at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, where relatives announced her death Monday.

“The Le family and care team are sorry to report that Sandy Le is deceased,” a spokeswoman said.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the death.

Le, of Pass Christian, Miss., was injured after being hit by a car outside the Mohawk nightclub last Thursday, a spokeswoman for the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office told KVUE.

“The victim was an organ and tissue donor. The body has not been brought the medical examiner’s yet. As soon as the body is in the possession of our office, I will be able to give out more information,” spokeswoman Sarah Scott said.

The two others killed were Jamie West, 27, and Steven Craenmehr, 35, of Amsterdam. Craenmehr was on a bicycle, and West was on a moped with her husband, who was hospitalized, police said.

Twenty-two others were injured. Six remain hospitalized. Brackenridge reported two in good condition, two as fair, one as critical. St. David’s HealthCare reported one patient in fair condition Monday, a spokeswoman said.

Rashad Owens, 21, has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle in connection with the crash. He’s accused of drunk driving, fleeing from police and intentionally driving into a crowd of festival-goers.

His bail was set at $3 million and he remained at Travis County Jail on Monday.
