Traffic jams are usually a lot more fun on film than in person. Here's a look at some memorable moments of misery.
Let's start with "Falling Down," in which Michael Douglas gets stuck in a jam on a hot day in Los Angeles. With his air conditioning conking out and his frustration bubbling over, Douglas' laid-off William Foster abandons his car and begins his fateful walk across L.A. to attend his child's birthday party -- the one his ex-wife would like to keep him away from with a restraining order.
