Eva Longoria, Piolin among White House immigration meeting guests

The White House on Thursday is calling on an eclectic mix of Latino entertainers, media personalities and activists for another meeting with President Obama to discuss his goal of enacting immigration reform.

Among those expected to attend the meeting are influential figures including actresses Eva Longoria and America Ferrera, radio host Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, “Sabado Gigante” host Don Francisco and Voto Latino Executive Director Maria Teresa Kumar.

The meeting is listed by the White House as “closed press,” but curiously the guest list includes several working journalists as well, such as Jose Diaz-Balart of Telemundo and Maria Elena Salinas of Univision.

Last week, the president met with another group of so-called stakeholders in the immigration reform effort, including former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

At this meeting, the administration says the president wants to discuss the importance of fixing what he calls a broken immigration system, and “how we can work together to foster a constructive national conversation on this important issue as we work to build a bipartisan consensus in Congress.”

Here is the full guess list, as provided by the White House:

  • Jose Diaz-Balart
  • Barbara Bermudo
  • Rosario Dawson
  • Emilio Estefan
  • Lily Estefan
  • America Ferrera
  • Don Francisco
  • Vanessa Hauc
  • Maria Teresa Kumar
  • Eva Longoria
  • Maria Elena Salinas
  • Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo
