Source of Rights
Our Declaration of Independence says: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” If the atheist minority succeeds in doing away with the American belief in God, are we not in danger of losing these rights that have been endowed by our Creator? From whom would we get our rights then? The Supreme Court? The ruling party? I’ll place my trust in God and hold fast to my rights.
