Clippers poke fun at themselves over logo in Funny or Die video

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and the players appeared in a Funny or Die video before the release of the team’s new logo on Thursday.

The video opens with Ballmer speaking to the Clippers, who are gathered in front of him in chairs.

“This is it, the day we’ve all been waiting for – the new logo is here,” Ballmer says.

Ballmer then does a drum roll and unveils a logo that’s similar to that of a popular fast-food chain’s logo.

“That looks like the Carl’s Jr. logo,” Blake Griffin deadpans.

Responds Ballmer: “You know, you might be right, well we don’t always get it right the first time, do we.”

Ballmer then unveils another logo, this one similar to Burger King’s logo, and says “Chomp on that burger baby.”

“Did you make these yourself,” Griffin responds.

Ballmer does the same thing with multiple brands’ logos, including Target, Microsoft, Mercedes, American Airlines and Coca-Cola.

Griffin finally just asks if he can try to design a logo.

The Clippers superstar then unveils the actual logo that the Clippers are set to use. Ballmer excitedly cheers and gives Griffin a high-five.
