Brian Wilson uses Photoshop skills to build a great Dodgers team

Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly says reliever Brian Wilson will fit right in the clubhouse because it’s full of characters.

Yeah, well, Norman Mailer was a bit of a character but he wasn’t exactly Hunter S. Thompson. The Dodgers are hardly devoid of personality, but they haven’t seen anything remotely like Wilson.

Wilson is an eccentric who revels in the unconventional. As serious as he is on the mound, he’s as playful and peculiar off it.

Also, it appears he has talents that go behind a nasty four-seam fastball. The man has serious Photoshop skills. And apparently his professional ego hasn’t been hampered by a second Tommy John surgery.

The former Giants closer released a photo on his Twitter account (@BrianWilson38) that he said was an old Little League shot of his team that won state. In the picture on a Little League field with the “Hollyweez” sign in the background, he’s superimposed his mug along with nine other Dodgers.

His Mt. Rushmore of Dodgers greats include Tommy Lasorda, Mike Piazza, Kirk Gibson, Fernando Valenzuela, Jackie Robinson, Maury Wills, Don Drysdale, Sandy Koufax and himself, all apparently coached by Vin Scully. They probably got a lot of cookies.

The image of Wilson includes him with his full, dark beard, looking almost like some refuge from a Rasputin cult. Emerging from the trees in the background is the 76 ball from the Dodger Stadium parking lot. And apparently atop the “Hollyweez” sign is a small image of “The Machine,” his supposed bondage acquaintance.

Yep, the Dodgers’ clubhouse is just full of Wilsons.
