A Pacific 10 Conference enforcement official said USC’s investigation into the financial arrangement by which receiver Dwayne Jarrett and former quarterback Matt Leinart shared an apartment last season could last another two weeks.

“They need to get some questions resolved ... they are doing a little research to make sure they cover everything they need to,” Ron Barker, associate commissioner of enforcement, said Monday.

Barker said there has been progress in the investigation into the relationship between a fledgling marketing company and Reggie Bush and his family. Barker declined to identify who had been interviewed in connection with the probe.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has not yet determined whether charges will be filed against quarterback Mark Sanchez, who was arrested April 26 on suspicion of sexual assault. Police are continuing their investigation, according to Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.

USC Coach Pete Carroll said he was confident that senior running back Chauncey Washington would be academically eligible for the first time in three seasons, but added he would wait until grades are posted May 19.

“He has a great chance to make it,” Carroll said.
