Game-time temperatures for USC’s Pac-12 Conference football game at Colorado’s Folsom Field on Friday night could dip into the 20s, according to forecasts for Boulder, Colo.

Quarterback Cody Kessler played a night game at Colorado in 2013 and also experienced cold weather during high school games in Bakersfield.

“Very used to it,” he said.

Several USC receivers are not.

“That’s pretty tricky because your hands are kind of frozen,” said sophomore Steven Mitchell Jr., who is from Pasadena and played at Mission Hills Alemany High.

Mitchell said he spoke with his cousin, Colorado receiver Devin Ross, for advice on dealing with the cold.

Trojans receivers will not wear sleeves, Mitchell said.

“It’s a receiver thing we do,” he said. “No exceptions.”
