Your reusable shopping bag may be environmentally sound, but is it safe?

So you’ve made an investment in green, reusable shopping bags. Bravo! But do you ever wash them? Do you use the same bags for everything, whether shopping for groceries, books, shoes, clothing?

Um, you might be interested in a little post over at the Booster Shots blog about what scientists found when they looked into multi-use bags. (Hint: They were crawling with bacteria, but washing them between uses helps a lot. So practice good bag hygiene, shoppers!)
