Jessalyn Gilsig’s upswept hair may look like it took a team of 20 people armed with curling irons, but according to her hair stylist, creating the ‘Glee’ actress’ look was surprisingly simple.

“It was simple for Jess today,” says David Gardner. “I just felt that it should be about her face. She is so beautiful and I didn’t want anything to upstage that.”

To get Gilsig’s easy up ’do; Gardner first curled her hair with an inch barrel curling iron, and then added texture to her locks by using a combination of hair laminates along with a fine sprinkling of baby powder and a dab of “Shine Me” gloss oil free finish. Finally he simply pulled the hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, twisted it around and secured the loose bun with bobby pins.

Gilsig’s hair certainly didn’t upstage her face and gown but I’m not quite sure about those sparkling earrings -- a pair of 33-carat yellow diamond and white gold Chopard chandelier earrings.
