New York jewelry designer Vera Balyura is visiting Hemingway and Pickett in Silver Lake on Friday with a selection of her VeraMeat collection. The baubles feature animals and parts of animals -- like the spine ring pictured here. Some are inspired by vampires, others by monsters -- think dinosaurs or a brainiac. Each piece ‘mirrors a self-sufficient life form with a sculptural presence,’ according to the jeweler’s website.
The trunk show begins at 6 p.m.
Hemingway and Pickett, 3208 W. Sunset Blvd., (323) 660-4200.
