We know that most of you runners pound the pavement in obscurity, sweat alone, and seldom grab the spotlight. But no more--now you have the chance to be part of a documentary titled ‘Running America.’ Starting June 15th, a film crew will be following two world class runners--Charlie Engle and Marshall Ulrich--as they try to break a world record running from San Francisco to New York City in 45 days (ultra-athlete geeks may know that Engle completed that kee-razy 4,500-mile run across the Sahara in 2007).

Filmmakers are looking for runners to accompany the two athletes for one-mile stretches as they traverse the nation. Don’t worry, producers aren’t expecting Kenyan-type sprinters. Everyone’s welcome to apply, including disabled athletes. There’s a fee, but a spokesman assured us it would go to charity.
