Could that be Marge Simpson?
That’s right -- the blue-haired matriarch of the Simpson clan is baring it all -- or at least, most of it -- on the cover of the November issue of Playboy, as well as in a three-page spread inside. Marge is the first cartoon character ever to be given such a provocative feature in the magazine.
Who knows what those bunny ears are hiding? But the magazine is reportedly saying that the spread will feature only ‘implied nudity’ for Marge.
The magazine’s new chief executive officer, Scott Flanders, told the Associated Press that featuring ‘The Simpsons’’ Marge is an attempt to attract younger people to a magazine where the readers’ average age is 35.
Husband Homer Simpson and offspring Bart, Lisa and Maggie, of Springfield, have so far offered no public comment on the matter. And no word yet on whether Apu, the proprietor of the Springfield Kwik-E-Mart, will allow the magazine to be placed on his convenience store shelves next to the Twinkies. But then, they’re cartoon characters too.
