Ortolan, the glamorous French restaurant on Third Street owned by actress Jeri Ryan and chef Christophe Emé (who introduced diners to velvety soups, such as sweet pea with celery root emulsion, served in test tubes), has a new look. The exterior is now a dreamy, creamy butter yellow.

The restaurant, which opened in 2005, was a dark cobalt blue. Frankly, the yellow makes it look like an entirely different restaurant. You can’t miss it now (ever since Little Next Door opened on the same street in a similar shade of blue, Ortolan was less distinguishable) -- it looks so delicious you want to spread it on bread.
