It’s no surprise that Culinary SOS is our most popular feature: You ask for a recipe, and Times Test Kitchen Manager Noelle Carter hunts it down.

This week, reader Joanne Nuckols asked us for the recipe for the sour cream coffee cake served at Heirloom Bakery and Cafe: It’s ‘fabulous,’ she said. ‘Each day it’s flavored differently for variety ... chocolate chips, raspberry, etc. I would love to have the recipe to make at home for a treat for those days when my walking partner and I aren’t splurging and stopping for breakfast.’

Luckily, Heirloom was happy to share the recipe with Noelle, who adapted it for the home cook.

Here it is: Heirloom Bakery and Cafe’s sour cream coffeecake.

Enjoy, Joanne!
