Feeling splurgey? Head down to San Diego Nov. 17 for a terrific-sounding dinner at Addison restaurant to benefit the American team in the Bocuse d’Or culinary competition. In addition to host chef William Bradley, cooking duties will be shared by Providence’s Michael Cimarusti, Cafe Boulud’s Gavin Kaysen and Cyrus’ Douglas Keane.
What’s to eat? The six-course menu (plus passed appetizers) include dishes such as Kaysen’s enigmatic-sounding Maine peekytoe crab/tangerine, fennel, vanilla; Cimarusti’s smoked crème fraîche panna cotta with Monterey abalone, geoduck clam and cured Tasmanian sea trout; Keane’s glazed chicken thighs with red wine risotto, aged Parmesan cheese, white truffles; and Bradley’s bittersweet chocolate terrine with cinnamon syrup and coffee crème glacée.
Sound good? OK, here’s the damage: $300 per person. Or, if you’re really feeling spendy, you can snag the chef’s table in the kitchen for $6,000 for 10. For more information or to make reservations, call the restaurant at (858) 314-1900.
