We told you recently how Frank McCourt had gotten back into the game, ending the self-imposed silence that followed the announcement of his separation and engaging in media interviews and civic life.

Jamie McCourt is back too, even with the couple’s divorce proceedings underway. She is the scheduled keynote speaker at an Orange County luncheon next month that celebrates Jewish philanthropy. Jamie McCourt is Jewish, and her biography for this event notes that she ‘reminisces proudly about her grandfather from Minsk who opened a kosher food market in his new country.’

The biography linked above outlines her accomplishments with the Dodgers but describes her current occupations as ‘businesswoman, academic and philanthropist.’

Frank McCourt fired his estranged wife as the Dodgers’ chief executive officer, and a court denied her bid for immediate reinstatement, pending a scheduled May 24 trial to determine who owns the team. Frank McCourt claims he is the sole owner of the team; Jamie McCourt claims she is a co-owner.
