There was some good news for the Dodgers Tuesday, you just had to look east about 75 miles.

While the Dodgers were all but being embarrassed early at Dodger Stadium, Manny Ramirez and Jeff Weaver made successful rehab appearances for the Inland 66ers at Lake Elsinore.

And when you’re down 9-0 after two innings at Dodger Stadium, you take your encouragement where you can find it.

Manny (calf) started the game at designated hitter, going 1-for-3 with an RBI single. He struck out and grounded out in his other two at-bats. He is expected to return for the 66ers on Wednesday.

Weaver (back) started and when three innings, allowing two hits and two unearned runs. He walked one and struck out three.

Weaver is expected to be activated Friday. Manny can be activated Saturday.
