Kristan Cunningham of ‘Design on a Dime’ remodels a rental

Kristan Cunningham, above, is one of the hosts of the television show ‘Design on a Dime.’ This week she takes Home contributor Debra Prinzig on a tour of her new rental home in the canal district of Venice. We’ve always wondered if it is worth investing money in a rental house. Cunningham says yes -- as long as you do it wisely and keep the costs relatively low. Her kitchen upgrade stayed in a budget of $1,000.
