Minotti Los Angeles emptied its 8,700-square-foot showroom Thursday night. In place of its luxury Italian-modern furnishings: 60 unique pieces by Italian artist Mauro Mori. The 44-year-old artist/sculptor who lives and works in Milan is known for fashioning sensuous, organic furnishings from monumental blocks of wood and marble. ‘Eyelong,’ pictured above, carved from a single Albizia rosewood tree from the Seychelles Islands, is an example of his elegant work. It’s not inexpensive -- $11,700 -- but definitely worth a look. The show is open through this Sunday, June 21 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at Minotti Los Angeles, 8936 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles 90048.
