Jason Arnold for Modern in Pasadena has relocated to a small yet inviting storefront closer to the Playhouse District. ‘The space is limited so the goal was to create room settings that people could visualize in their own homes,’ owner Jason Arnold says. Although he specializes in architect-designed pieces from the 1940s to 1970s in near-mint-condition, Arnold also carries artwork, including a small-scale signed Henry Moore bronze, above left, $3,500. The walnut armchair, above right, is Arnold’s lower and wider interpretation of a piece by Paul Laszlo. Made to order, it sells for $1,500. See more photos of the store after the jump.
In the foreground, a gold leaf and black lacquer Asian coffee table from Kittinger is listed at $2,000. The leather sling lounge chairs were designed by Charles Pollock for Knoll in 1960. They are $3,000 each. Behind them, a console by the Swedish-born and L.A.-based architect Greta Magnusson Grossman has a floating top and cane storage shelf underneath. It’s listed at $4,200.

CORRECTED: A previous version of this post misidentified the Clifford Pascoe chairs as Paul McCobb designs. Thanks to Jonathan Goldstein for the catch.
