I had so much fun visiting furniture designer Kiersten Hathcock in her garage workspace (pictured right) last year, I make it a point to stay up to date with what she’s working on.
Hathcock’s newest creation for Mod Mom Furniture, her line of midcentury modern-inspired toy boxes, tables and storage for kids, looks to be just as charming as her other made-to-order furnishings. The Riley Paige Toy/Storage Box, shown above, is made of birch plywood and features collage-pedaled flower-shaped lids, which lift up to allow access for tiny hands. The box measures 29.5-by-14-by 15.5 inches. Prices aren’t set yet, but Hathcock’s pieces generally cost between $250 and $550. Look for it at her online store in the weeks to come.
Lots of toys wrapped up under your Christmas tree? This new piece might be just the thing for tidying up after Dec. 26.
