Detectives are trying to figure out the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose decapitated body was discovered Monday afternoon at a hospital parking garage.
A Culver City police spokesman said detectives were on the scene and it remains unclear how the man died. Officials stressed that homicide, suicide and an accident are all being considered.
The body of the unidentified man was found by a passerby who immediately alerted police shortly after 3 p.m. to the area of Washington and Inglewood boulevards, said Culver City Police Lt. Ron Izuka.
The body was in an area with bushes.
The police presence was high in around the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, officials said.
