Acid bombs found at O.C. home of African American woman

Investigators are searching for the culprits who planted a series of acid bombs outside a home in the Orange County community of Rossmoor.

Over the weekend, someone left four of them in the yard of a single mother in Rossmoor in the 3000 block of Mainway Drive.

As she called 911 about the bottle bombs, one exploded in the yard.

Another of the acid bombs was found in a tree at nearby Rush Park.

The woman is African American, and she fears that she may have been targeted because of her race.

No one was injured in the incident, which is being investigated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Police say they have no evidence at this point that it was a hate crime.
