A pelting rain Thursday loosened a large boulder and caused it to barrel down a steep hill and into the garage of a home in northern San Diego County.

The boulder estimated at about 5 feet in height smashed the back door to the garage and dislodged a propane tank. There were no injuries in the incident, said officials in Poway, northeast of San Diego.

The area was heavily affected by Thursday’s rain storm, which soaked the area and left the ground unstable.
