The owner of a skate and clothing store in El Cajon has pleaded guilty in federal court to importing and selling between $800,000 and $1.2 million worth of counterfeit Nike Air Jordan shoes from China.
Steven Ray Holliday, 31, admitted that he sold the shoes at his Staxx on Deck store and his website from March 2009 to May 2012.
Holliday could face up to five years in prison when sentenced in San Diego on Feb. 19. But a plea agreement filed this week suggests federal prosecutors will ask District Judge Michael Anello for leniency, which could result in probation.
