Brown is on probation for assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles the night before the Grammys in February 2009.

In the Sunday night incident, officials said deputies responded to a call of six men fighting in the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. When they arrived, witnesses told authorities that Brown and the other person, whom TMZ identified as Ocean, were involved in an altercation over a parking spot. The altercation allegedly led to Brown punching the victim, officials said.

After the brief fight, the parties were separated, officials said, and Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the deputies’ arrival.

The investigation was ongoing, and detectives said they planned to speak with Brown.
