Jon Fisher, right, became enamored of birds as a teenager. Now he lists unusual sightings in the Los Angeles area. He’s the compiler for Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert, an Audubon Society-sanctioned program that tips bird-watchers to verified, unusual sightings by their peers.
