Poor Princess (ID# A3451208) found herself at the Downey animal shelter when her owner died, leaving no one to care for her. She’s a spayed female terrier mix who’s about three years old.
When she arrived at the shelter, she was a great deal fluffier than she is in this photo, and volunteers gave her a much-needed bath and clipping -- only to discover that she’s malnourished (just look at those poor rib bones sticking out!). ‘She’ll need a nice good home and lots of good food,’ says Patricia Learned of the L.A. County Department of Animal Care & Control.
Princess is sweet-tempered and loves people, but might be a bit too energetic for a home with small children. Meet her in person at the Downey shelter, located at 11258 S. Garfield Avenue, or call (562) 940-6898 for more information.
