Tell us, Will Smith, how do you really feel about this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate?

Barack Obama as a person is a fantastic individual, but Barack Obama as an idea marks an evolutionary flash point for humanity,” the actor, who’s in Norway as part of Nobel Prize events, said on CNN’s ‘Situation Room’ on Thursday. (Check out the video at the end of this post.)

It’s a good thing he’s stoked, because he and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have been scheduled for a while to host the Nobel Peace Prize concert at the Oslo Spektrum, featuring performances by Wyclef Jean, Donna Summer, Toby Keith, Lang Lang and Natasha Bedingfield.

It starts at 11 a.m. West Coast time and will be streaming live on CNN.com -- or if you’re in Norway, you can catch it on channel NRK1.

The winners weren’t known when Will and Jada took the gig, and she told USA Today that it was just ‘icing on the cake.’

‘We want to make it seem as though we are hosting very prestigious guests in our living room. We want to be able to just bring some warmth and a little laughter and fun into the program,’ Jada said.

Her take on the the first couple? ‘They’re with Will and I on the level of how we live. I mean, [we’re] nowhere near what the Obamas are doing, but just with the pressures that we have and how much concentration and work it takes to keep your family intact,’ she said. ‘They are an extraordinary family.’

Sadly for the Smiths, the president and First Lady Michelle Obama, who attended the laureates’ dinner Thursday night, couldn’t hang out in Oslo long enough to make the concert. However, the Smiths did get to interview the president Thursday, and that chat will air during the concert. If you miss it live, don’t fret. It’ll be televised here early next year, according to USA Today.

And even though Will and CNN’s Dan Lothian touched on it, you’ll still have to wait a while before Smith plays Barack Obama in a movie.
