Rapper Lil Wayne, currently doing time at New York’s Rikers Island on a weapons charge, was busted Monday for possession of ‘music contraband,’ the New York Daily News reports.
Um, what?? The Daily News’ source says Weezy -- who gave ‘every positive matriarch’ a shout-out Friday on his blog -- had unauthorized headphones and a charger for an MP3 player. A watch that doubled as a music player was found in the possession of another inmate on the same wing. With both men in trouble, investigators are trying to determine how gear made it into the prison.
Authorities confiscated the contraband around 8 a.m. Monday after getting a tip from a prison informant, but we here at the Ministry think the Corrections folks could’ve figured it out on their own.
Seriously -- who wears a watch anymore?
