After announcing Monday on ‘Good Morning America’ that she’d be filing a civil suit in L.A. against Charlie Sheen, porn star Capri Anderson stopped by the NYPD and reportedly filed a criminal complaint regarding what happened between her and the actor at the Plaza Hotel in late October.
Meanwhile, Sheen’s camp filed a lawsuit Monday against Anderson, whose real name is Christina Walsh, alleging she tried to extort $1 million from the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star and stole his missing $165,000 Patek Philippe watch, TMZ reports.
‘These allegations against Mr. Sheen are completely false, and are a blatant attempt to cash in on his celebrity,’ attorney Yale Galanter said in a statement Monday, alleging that Anderson had been to a number of law firms that had turned her away because of credibility issues.
Anderson told ‘GMA’ that she was fine with facing cross-examination that would question her credibility, as her reputation had already been trashed. Her civil suit accuses Sheen of battery and false imprisonment.
The actress said she’d set up a deal through her agent to be paid $3,500 for an ‘appearance’ with Sheen at dinner Oct. 25, then went up with him after dinner when Sheen’s friend asked if she would make sure he got to his hotel room OK.
‘There was a little bit of romance, if you will,’ she said on ‘GMA,’ and she was initially there willingly. Eventually, he straddled her on the bed, she said, but ‘it wasn’t until he put his hands around my neck that I really thought to myself, ‘You have gotten yourself in a bad, bad situation.’’
When she went to gather her belongings and leave, he threw a lamp and other objects around the room, she said. She saw him pick up a shiny metal object from the desk as she grabbed her cellphone and locked herself in the bathroom. She called a friend -- not the police, she said, because she was in shock -- while Sheen, 45, allegedly threatened through the door to kill her. When police arrived in response to a security call, they found her in her underwear in the bathroom and him allegedly naked and bleeding in the room; Sheen went voluntarily to a New York hospital for psychiatric evaluation. Sheen has described the incident as ‘one bad night.’
Afterward, Anderson said, she received text messages from Sheen apologizing for his behavior, complimenting her and offering to pay her $20,000 (she’d not been paid the $3,500, she said). She said she didn’t file a complaint that night, and posted on her website the next day that she was ‘fine,’ because she was too shocked to know what to do.
‘I’m reserving my judgment for later until we see what transpires from the lawyer,’ Radar Online was told by Paul Walsh, who described his daughter as a ‘misguided’ 22-year-old.
Earlier this year, Sheen went to ‘preventative rehab’ and anger management classes as his lawyers worked out a deal regarding domestic violence charges filed in Colorado for the actor’s Christmas attack on Brooke Mueller. Sheen recently filed for divorce from Mueller.
But back to Capri Anderson.
‘This is a woman who, for the right amount of money, sleeps with strangers,’ Sheen’s manager, Mark Burg, told TMZ.
We dare say, hasn’t Sheen ‘fessed up to almost the same thing, with at least 27 strangers? More details were expected in a ‘Nightline’ interview with Anderson on Monday night.
