It wasn’t a bad night for women on Thursday, specifically the gals that light up the small screen, as Elle magazine hosted a private dinner at West Hollywood’s Soho House to celebrate women in television.

Sofia Vergara was the belle of the ball, working her sexy and funny shtick in a little black dress around cocktails before Elle creative director Joe Zee and Ports 1961 hosted a seated dinner.

Vergara’s ‘Modern Family’ costar Jesse Tyler Ferguson came to support, introducing folks to his new boyfriend Justin Mikita, while a pregnant Rachel Zoe looked predictably maternity chic with husband Rodger Berman in tow.

‘Mad Men’ recurring star Cara Buono discussed her upcoming arc on ‘Brothers and Sisters’ while Taye Diggs floated sans wife Idina Menzel. ‘The Office’ actress-producer Mindy Kaling seemed in high spirits, no doubt after the major casting of Will Ferrell for her NBC comedy.

‘True Blood’ stud Grey Damon popped by, as did former ‘Dexter’ gal Julie Benz, Judy Greer, Paz de la Huerta, Jennifer Morrison, Cat Deely and Maria Menuounos. Click the pics for more photos from the event.

The Ministry’s highlight, hands down, was Shannen Doherty finding her way into the bash from the general clubhouse after earlier drinks with pal Drew Barrymore.
