‘Harry Potter’ stars ink one last premiere date for ‘Deathly Hallows — Part II’

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint will walk the red carpet together one last time for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part II,’ the premiere of which has just been set for July 7.
Muggles rejoice: London’s massive Trafalgar Square will host the celebration for the final installment of the eight-film series before the action moves to the smaller theater hub of Leicester Square for the screening, according to our friends at Hero Complex.
‘As befits a great British triumph, I can think of no better venue than the iconic surroundings of Trafalgar Square in which to stage the most spectacular of send-offs,’ London Mayor Boris Johnson said in a statement.
The square is home to the National Gallery and Nelson’s Column, those other British cultural icons.
J.K. Rowling’s books-turned-films have aggregated many of Britain’s top-billed actors for roles, including Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, Emma Thompson and Maggie Smith. It also made the Radcliffe-Watson-Grint trio as popular as the boy wizard himself. So it’s no mystery that the series won a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award (the ‘British Oscar’) last month for outstanding British contribution to cinema.
We may, however, need Professor Trelawney’s seeing eye to prophesy who — wizard, witch or otherwise — will be there for the series send-off.
The film apparates worldwide July 15.
