A lot of fuss surrounded Emma Watson‘s exit from Brown University this year: bullying rumors, the pressures of fame and a waiting film career were whispered as reasons for her March departure from the Ivy League school.

Well, she’s going back. So there.

‘I’m still a student at Brown,’ Watson said.

Her spring departure came with comments that ‘other professional and acting projects’ required her to defer a semester or two and that she’d make up for lost time this fall with courses at Britain’s esteemed Oxford University.

‘It’s just that I’ll spend my third year abroad — at Oxford. Then I’ll return to Brown to complete my last year,’ she told the Virginian-Pilot.

She’ll feasibly continue on that path, given that ‘My Week With Marilyn’ and ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower,’ the films she shot to follow the end of the massive ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, won’t need her for promotion until 2012.

Don’t sharpen Watson’s pencils just yet, however. There’s buzz that she’ll join a darker adaptation of ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ to be produced by Guillermo Del Toro.
