I’m not sure if this is a plug disguised as a news item, or a plea for information disguised as a plug. In other words, help me out. The property search site Trulia.com today announced a new blog-like local feature, ‘Trulia Voices.’

The Inman.com real estate news site reports: ‘Property-search site Trulia.com today announced the launch of ‘Trulia Voices’ -- an online community that is intended to spark neighborhood dialog among users, including home buyers, sellers and real estate professionals.’

Inman, a terrific source of industry news, further reports that Zillow.com, ActiveRain.com, and the soon-to-be-launched Move Inc., all have similar local ambitions: to build enough local information into websites to create one-stop shopping on the web for homebuyers. (Aside: If I were a newspaper publisher, I would be watching these products with great interest and some anxiety).

But I digress: Your thoughts, please, on Trulia.com? Reliable? Useful? Feel free to plug away for your favorite real estate websites -- just, please, explain what those sites do well. As always, send story tips to lalandblog@yahoo.com
