Sweet Digs, the Redfin blog that angered the MLS in Seattle -- Realtors said blogging about houses was against MLS rules -- is back and coming to L.A. this summer.

From John Cook’s Venture blog at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: ‘The Redfin real estate blog, which was shut down last month after agents complained to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service that the home reviews were hurting sales, is making its return today in a modified state.’

More: ‘No longer will Redfin bloggers post in-depth reviews of open houses. Instead, the posts will detail information such as price reductions, past sales, open house listings and the number of homes for sale in certain neighborhoods. It also plans to do previews of new listings.’

A Southern California version of Sweet Digs will launch this summer, and we at L.A. Land look forward to it.

The MLS in Seattle has fined Redfin $50,000 for violating rules that forbid real estate brokers from advertising another agent’s listings without consent. Redfin is appealing the fine.
