Sign of the times: Auction in Sherman Oaks

This one came as an e-mail tip from our buddy Tim and is pretty much self-
explanatory.

He reports bids are due by 6 p.m. tonight, with a second round of round-robin bidding to follow at 7 p.m.

UPDATE: We just called over to the house at 9 p.m., and were told the second round of bidding is still in progress, but that there are additional offers outside of the auction that will be considered. This sounds more complicated than we originally bargained for. Kate in the Valley is equally unconvinced this is a straight auction. She calls what’s going on a ‘cheap gimmick.’
