Anyone with a British car or motorbike should save this date. On Sunday, April 6, the Queen’s English car club is having a show, the first time in years such a get-together has occurred. It will take place at Woodley Park in Van Nuys from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Assuming a British-built machine can actually get there without breaking down, it will be a nonjudged event, with an Auto Jumble area where parts and paraphernalia may be bought or swapped.

The meet is free to spectators, and the organizers also promise food, music and general merriment. But, for the dignity of all Brits everywhere, let’s hope the morris dancing is kept to a minimum. Chaps, it’s not a good look.
