If you’ve missed the shows chronicling the Southland foreclosure situation on KCET’s SoCal Connected, there are several segments on their website. I caught Thursday’s clip on the Trashout Squad and then checked out some of the other clips.

Something few people ever see -- the dirty work of contractors hired by banks and mortgage companies to empty out foreclosed homes of whatever the former owners leave behind so the property can be readied for resale. Sadly, it’s one of the few growth businesses in these tough economic times.

If this is typical, what an amazing amount of possessions left behind and clogging the landfills.
