There’s more than a sugar high in store for one lucky Coke drinker this summer.

Coca-Cola Co. has launched the California Dream Home Giveaway sweepstakes. Consumers who buy select Coke products at participating Albertsons stores will get an opportunity to win a new home, worth about $250,000.

“We are excited to offer the local community a chance to live the dream,” said Luis Fernando Ramirez, vice president of the West region for Coca-Cola North America. “There’s nothing more gratifying to us than being able to refresh consumers and make their lives more enjoyable as they ‘open happiness’ this summer.”

Consumers receive one entry into the sweepstakes each time they purchase four of the following products:

• 12-pack (12-oz cans) or 8-pack (12-oz bottles) of Coke’s sparkling beverages

• 8-pack (20-oz. bottles) of Powerade Ion4

• 12-pack (half-liter bottles) of Nestea

• 12-pack or 4-pack Vitaminwater

Coca-Cola said the location of the home, to be built by Taylor Morrison Inc. of Scottsdale, Ariz., depends on where the winner lives. The deal is good at participating stores and only if the purchase is made on an Albertsons Preferred Savings Card. The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of California and Nevada, 21 or older, and ends Aug. 11.
