I just planned my dream vacation to Sweden, complete with bicycling along the Göta Canal, mountain walks in Bohuslän along the lakes, and a stay at the Stensgården Bed & Breakfast – and it’s all because Volvo said I might win it.

Volvo has stepped up the incentives for buying its vehicles, adding to its Overseas Delivery (OSD) Program – which gives Volvo buyers free airfare to Sweden to pick up their purchased vehicle – a chance at a dream vacation to Europe.

The website is a partnership with the West Swedish Tourist Board, and the winner will receive one week of hotel stays, round-trip flights for two, and, naturally, a Volvo to drive around during the trip. It is free to enter and entries will be accepted until Sept.1.

Volvo’s delivery program is one of the few that have survived for several years – according to an Edmunds article, Volvo claims a 99% satisfaction rating for the program. In addition to the 8% savings on the price of a new Volvo, the regular program offers complimentary airline tickets and a one-night hotel stay at the SAS Radisson Hotel in Gothenburg, Sweden. Customers can pick up their new vehicle directly from the factory and cruise around Europe in it, and after they drop off the vehicle at one of the designated locations, Volvo will ship it back to the States, free of charge.

What makes the program especially appealing are the various travel options that buyers can purchase at extremely competitive rates – like week-long cultural tours or family-friendly highlights that still end up saving you money.

However, if you want to bypass those costs (and the costs of buying a new Volvo), you might just want to enter to win the vacation. Free is always the best price.
