Pending home sales up. The number of pending home sales unexpectedly rose from January to February, according to new figures from the National Association of Realtors. The figure gives further indication that the real estate market may be improving.
AIG to go free. Prosecutors are leaning against bringing charges against American International Group for the behavior that led the company, and the country, into the economic dumps.
Reputation problems. AIG and Goldman Sachs are among the 10 least-respected big companies in America, according to a new Harris Interactive poll. Among the most-respected companies in the poll were Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway and Google.
