The healthcare bill cleared its first obstacle as the House voted, 242-192, in favor of a rule that sets the terms of debate for the rest of the day.

As expected, all 177 Republicans voted against the rule, a likely indication of how they will act on the bill, which is expected to come to the floor for a vote later today.
