Today is a day for memorial services as President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will be in separate parts of the country to mourn soldiers who died in war and peace.

Wearing black, President Obama and his wife, Michelle, left the White House this morning, en route to Ft. Hood in Texas. They will meet privately with the families of victims of last week’s shooting spree. The president will deliver remarks at the public ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
