Virginia Tech on lockdown after report of shots fired

Virginia Tech is locked down after reports of shots fired near campus Thursday.
The university issued an alert on its website at 12:47 p.m. EST of a report of shots fired and advised students to stay indoors.
The alert described the possible shooter as a white male, wearing gray sweat pants, a gray hat with a neon green brim, a maroon hoodie and backpack.
