Gymnast Jana Bieger will try to do everything she can to perform well tonight. Her dream has always been to follow in her mother’s footsteps and be an Olympian. Bieger has spent more than a year in training for these trials and knows that at age 18, it is her last run at the Olympics.

‘There is always time for anything else after the Olympics and later on in life, so you just have to embrace it when you have it now and just go for it all,’ Jana told the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel’s Sharon Robb.

‘For me, of course that would be the greatest thing I could ever achieve working with her because I went through the same thing several years ago,’ said her mother and coach, Andrea, who was a three-time Olympian for West Germany (1972, 1976 and 1980).
