U.S. diving team selected

Knoxville -- USA Diving has named 12 divers to the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team -- and three have California connections.

For the first time since 1996, the U.S. will send a full complement of divers to the Summer Games. The team qualified in each of the diving events, including the four synchronized diving events.

Beijing will be the third Olympics for Troy Dumais (3 meter) from Ventura, who also represented the U.S. in Greece and Sidney. Haley Ishimatsu (10 meter and 10 meter synchronized), is a 15-year-old diver from Seal Beach . Ariel Rittenhouse (synchronized 3 meter) is from Santa Cruz.
